This logo was designed for myself as a side project for designing a cyclist messenger bag. The latin words Nota Bene stands for Note It Well, and I modified this phrase to Rota Bene ie. Rotate ( -> the pedal) it well!

It is a common phrase used by Hungarian cyclists to engourage each other so It popped out of my mind to modify this old latin phrase to fit in my cyclist life. That is the story of the words I used for my logo. Also it appeared on my messenger bag, hand sewn.
Why should this logo be considered for Logo Of The Day?
“Because of the creative use of typography and the tricky playing with words and cross-meanings.”
Some previous tries that led me to the final logo:
The letters are nearly finished, trying out shapes for the letter “E”
Bad “E”
Good “E”
Not so beautiful
Look, a tiny cute leaf!

Minden honlapos és grafikai tudásomat autodidakta módon szereztem, érdekelt a téma és szerettem mindig is a SZÉPET. Megpróbáltam én is valami szépet, egyszerűt alkotni. Néha így, néha úgy.
Na jó, de HOGYAN? Ez itt a kérdés.
(szal könyvekből képezted magad, vagy fórumokon, esetleg leszedted mondjuk a Dreamweavert, és elkezdtél próbálkozni (honlapok esetén), vagy hogyan?)
Csak mert engem is érdekel a téma, meg gondolkozom rajta, hogy valami ilyesmi irányba megyek tovább, csak nem tudom, hogy hova lehetne jelentkezni, és hogy mennyire életképes az ötlet. (nem vagyok egy kiemelkedő rajztehetség, pédául) A kérdés az, hogy nem mennék-e többre “önképzéssel”…
Szóval, neked mi a véleményed?
Mik a “kötelező olvasmányok” a témában, illetve hol érdemes elkezdeni szerinted?
